Member of the European Parliament
Born and raised in Genoa, where he graduated in law, he began serving in the Northern League in the nineties, and after an initial experience as a legislative consultant at the presidency of the Liguria Regional Council, in 2004 he moved to Brussels, where he held the role of parliamentary assistant to MEP Matteo Salvini. In 2009, following a period in the private sector, he was called back to Brussels to take on the role of official of the Northern League delegation, at the political group Europe of Freedom and Democracy (EFD).
Since 2015 he has been staff coordinator of the League delegation, as well as deputy general secretary of the Europe of Nations and Freedom (ENL) political group, of which the League was part until the end of the VIII legislature.
In 2019 he was a candidate for the League in the European elections, obtaining the MEP seat in the north-western Italian constituency and subsequently assuming the role of head of delegation within the political group Identity and Democracy (ID). Among the positions held are that of full member in the Transport and Tourism commission, substitute member in the International Trade and Internal Market commissions, full member in the delegations for bilateral relations with Iraq and Iran, and substitute member in the delegations for bilateral relations with the Mercosur countries and Japan.
