Vice President and Head of Nuclear Energy Division Walter Tosto
Massimiliano Tacconelli obtained a degree in Maintenance Engineering Technician from the ELIS Center and a Master’s degree in Industrial Marketing from SDA Bocconi.
Throughout his career, he has enriched his skills through advanced training courses in areas such as: Time and Method Analysis, Value Analysis and Benchmarking, Sales Management, Project Management, Management of Organizational Teams, Requirements and Codes for Nuclear Equipment, Machines for Nuclear Plants and Nuclear Safety. Since 1998 he has been an integral part of Walter Tosto SpA, where he started in the technical and offers department, subsequently assuming the role of Technical Manager and, later, Director of the Food & Pharma Division.
In 2007 he was appointed Product Manager and Key Account Manager for CVD reactors intended for the production of polysilicon for solar panels, successfully leading the construction of 12 Sil Fabs in the East in just two years. Since 2009 he has held the position of Program Manager for the nuclear market and large scientific research projects, following the entire life cycle of the projects, from proposal to delivery.
Massimiliano has published articles and technical papers on the production of nuclear components for fusion machines and has developed innovative solutions for the manufacturing and control of complex components. He is also the author of three patents registered by the company.
Currently, he is engaged in the development of European nuclear policies, serving as Vice President of Supply Chain at the EU Industrial Alliance SMR, an initiative promoted by the Directorate General of the European Commission. It actively collaborates with NuclearEurope and with nuclear associations in Italy and Romania, contributing to the progress of the nuclear sector at an international level.
