Naser M. Y. Al Belooshi

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Italy

Al Belooshi earned a Doctorate cum laude and a Master’s degree in economics from Université Paris-XIII, as well as a Diploma in economic planning from the International Institute of Public Administration. From 1987 to 1992 he was Director of Economic Research at the Bahrain Center for Studies and Research, then Executive Director of the Bahrain Monetary Agency (the Central Bank of the Kingdom of Bahrain) from 1992 to 2003. In addition, from 1995 to 2001 he was also executive director of the Arab Monetary Fund in Abu Dhabi. As an economic representative he worked on the Free Trade Agreement with the United States from 2003 to 2005, before becoming Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Washington accredited to the United States, Canada and Argentina from 2005 to 2008. He also served as Ambassador to France from 2008 to 2014. He was Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Italy.
