Raffaella Baritono

Full Professor of History and Politics of the United States of America at the School of Political Sciences of the University of Bologna. She is a founding member of the Interuniversity Center for Euro-American History and Politics (CISPEA), and served as its director from 2014 to 2017. She was president of the Italian Society of Women Historians and vice president of the Association of North American Studies (AISNA), and a member of the board of the Society of International History (SISI). She coordinates LAB-USA, the departmental center for studies on the United States. She serves on the editorial boards of the journals “Ricerche di Storia Politica” (of which she was co-director until 2018), “Scienza & Politica,” and “Il Mulino.” She is a member of the Il Mulino Association and a member of its steering committee and editorial board. Her research interests include American political and intellectual history, as well as women’s history and political culture.
