Economic Advisor at the Representation in Italy

Salvatore De Vita, who holds a degree in Economics from Bocconi University, began his career at the European Commission in 2009, working in DG Competition. After conducting research and economic analysis in the private sector, he returned to the European Commission in 2014 and has been Economic Advisor at the Representation in Italy since 2024. Previously, he worked at DG Competition, where he worked on mergers and acquisitions in the IT, telecommunications, and media sectors, and at the Secretariat-General of the European Commission, coordinating the implementation of policies and regulations to strengthen competitiveness and innovation in Europe.
