Serena Lippi

Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Education and Merit.

After graduating in Political Science with a focus on international and community affairs from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, he attended the College of Europe in Bruges. A 22-year diplomat, he served two terms at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union in Brussels (from 2002 to 2006, during the Italian Presidency of the EU, and from 2016 to 2021, as First Advisor, Coordinator of the United Nations, Human Rights, Education, Culture, Youth, and Sport sectors). In Rome, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, he served as Deputy Middle East Office at the Directorate General for Political Affairs and Head of the Multilateral Office (UNESCO, EUI, etc.) at the Directorate General for the Promotion of the Country System. Abroad, he also worked at the Italian Embassy in Tripoli, Libya, from 2006 to 2010 and as Consul General in Nice from 2013 to 2016, managing the terrorist attack of July 14, 2016. From September 2021 to October 2022, he served as Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister for Ecological Transition, Professor Roberto Cingolani. Since November 2022, he has served as Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Education and Merit,

Professor Giuseppe Valditara. He has been a Knight of the Order of Merit of the Republic since 2012.
