Diplomat, Permanent Representative of Italy to the OSCE in Vienna from 2021 to 2024. Career diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation since 1989, he was also Ambassador to Bulgaria from 2016 to 2020. He supports the diplomatic service with assiduous academic activity, he has in fact taught in numerous Italian universities (La Sapienza, LUISS, Roma TRE, LUMSA, Trento, Pavia, Florence), holding seminars and courses on international affairs, in particular on multilateral diplomacy. His publications include several books on the activity of diplomats (Diplomatici, 2018), (Through the Diplomatic Looking Glass, Diplo, 2007).
