Valentina Bacchin

Valentina Bacchin is an expert in humanitarian programs, protracted crises, and post-conflict reconstruction. Since 2007, she has been involved in humanitarian and reconstruction missions in East Asia, East Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. She has worked with the International Organization for Migration and with local and international NGOs, including Oxfam and IRC. She recently completed the Policy Leader Fellowship at the School of Transnational Governance at the European University Institute with research on humanitarian policies and responses to displacement in war-affected countries, with case studies on Iraq and Syria. She graduated in International and Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Trieste and subsequently obtained a Master’s degree in Humanitarian Action from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in the Netherlands.
