Vincenzo Buonomo

Professor Vincenzo Buonomo is a Full Professor of International Law and Coordinator of the PhD programmes at the Faculty of Civil Law, and holds a doctorate in Utroque Iure from the Pontifical Lateran University.

He began teaching at the Faculty of Civil Law of the Pontifical Lateran University in 1984.

He was appointed Full Professor at the same Faculty of Civil Law of the Pontifical Lateran University in 2001.

Since 1983, he has served as a collaborator to the Representation and as Legal Adviser to the Holy See’s delegations to the UN, the FAO, the IFAD, the WFP, the Council of Europe and the OSCE; he took part in the ‘World Conference on Human Rights’ (1993), the ‘Constitutive Conference of the International Criminal Court’ (1998), the “World Food Summits” (1996, 2002 and 2009) and, from 1993 to 2006, in the work of the UN Sub-Commission on Human Rights.
