Alfio Nicotra, a professional journalist, works at the Chamber of Deputies and is co-president of the association Un Ponte Per. A senior figure in Democrazia Proletaria and later in Rifondazione Comunista, he was one of the spokespersons for the Genoa Social Forum during the protests against the 2001 G8 summit.
