The event aims to show an overview of how mafia activities, to date, seem able to adapt to different contexts to seek new criminal opportunities. The use of new tools such as cryptocurrencies is an example of how mafias use technological means to confuse their activities and exploit what can be favorable to generate illicit profits. For this reason, the prevention and fight against organized crime cannot ignore an understanding of how illicit trafficking evolves.
