A systematic overview of the main aspects of Italian foreign policy which is proposed as a foundational text for political studies and more generally for the public debate on the topic. An academic response to a renewed interest in Italian foreign policy, in a period of international transition which increasingly requires adequate knowledge of our country’s action in Europe and in the world. A look based on different perspectives from which the topic of foreign policy is addressed, with particular attention to the formulation of policies and the decision-making process understood as public policy.
