Ana Revenco serves as Minister of Internal Affairs of Republic of Moldova since 6 August 2021 in the cabinet of Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in international management and a Master in
NGO management. She was the Executive Director of the International Centre La Strada from 2001 to August 2012 and rejoined the La Strada team in April 2015.
In her capacity as Executive Director, Ms Revenco facilitated the development of the organisation’s overall strategy and the coordination and monitoring of its efforts in three distinct areas of activity: trafficking in persons, especially women, domestic violence and sexual assault against women and girls, and child sexual exploitation. She specialised in national and international advocacy, networking and collaboration, risks and threats assessment, quality monitoring and financial strategic management.
Previously, Ms Revenco was the Director of the Centre for Combating Trafficking in Persons under the General Police Inspectorate of the Republic of Moldova, from September 2012 to March 2015. During this period she was also a member of the Reform Centre of the General Police Inspectorate of the Ministry of the Interior.
Ms Revenco was awarded National Presidential Distinction “Civic Merit” in 2014.
