On 14 June 2023 the European Parliament approved the AI Act with the aim of guaranteeing a long-term strategy for the development of A.I. in Europe. With the AI Act the European Union wishes to excel and contribute to the development of this technology. While doing so, particular attention is given to the protection of rights and an ethical and sustainable development of AI. As we know AI is a powerful and enabling technology but, at the same time, it gives rise to critical issues in terms of its fair and ethical use. For these reasons a careful consideration of AI use and applications should be necessary.
